Telecommunications Online Learning Course -- Level 1, No. LC-201-1

ISCET's Telecommunications course is divided into three levels. This is level 1, and is intended to be used by those whose background is minimal in telecommunications. Level 2 covers basically the same topics, but in greater depth. Level 3 is a very thorough investigation of Telecommunications and is considered to be journeyman level material. Along with the Associate CET, the Telecommunications Part 3 is considered a CET.

Students taking Level 1, and then successfully completing the Certified Telecommunications Associate examination are considered to be (CTA-1). Successful completion of the Level 2 materials and examination will become Certified Telecommunications Associates (CTA-2). ISCETís Telecommunications course is divided into three levels. This is level 1, and is intended to be used by those whose background is minimal in telecommunications. Modules include Networking Topology, Networking Standards, Networking Devices, Copper Cable, Codes & Standards, Fiber Optical Cable (3 Modules), Pulling Cable, Structured Premises Cabling, Low Voltage Alarm Systems, Grounding & Fire stopping and Professionalism and Safety.

The course is taken on the Internet. No printed material is available. Students are allowed access to the course for 150 days, 24 hours per day/7days per week (occasional system maintenance may preclude access for a short time during late night hours, or as necessary in emergencies) Students taking Level 1, and then successfully completing the Certified Telecommunications Associate examination are considered to be (CTA-1).
